How it works

From one question to a cited shortlist.

AI-Powered Buy does the part of software research that eats your afternoon: searching, reading, comparing, and checking. Here is exactly what happens between pressing enter and reading your report.

The research, step by step

  1. 01

    You ask a buying question

Write it the way you would ask a colleague, for example "best project management tool for a 10 person agency" or "Otter vs Fireflies for sales calls". Context like team size, budget, or must have features makes the answer sharper.

  2. 02

    Sources are searched in parallel

Google and Bing organic results are fetched through licensed search APIs. On Pro, Reddit discussions are pulled in through a licensed Reddit data API. Everything runs at the same time, and you watch the progress live as each source comes back.

  3. 03

Weak and broken sources are dropped

Links that no longer work are filtered out before anything is written, so the citations in your report point to pages that actually load.

  4. 04

    Claims are cross-checked

What each source says about a product is compared against the others. Where they agree, confidence goes up. Where they contradict each other, the disagreement is flagged in the report instead of being hidden.

  5. 05

A ranked, cited report is written

You get a shortlist of products ranked for your question. Each one has pricing, pros, cons, who it is best for, and a short verdict, with every claim linked to its source. The whole run takes about 22 seconds.

  6. 06

Save it, export it, share it

Every report is saved to your history. Export it as a polished PDF for a deck or a stakeholder, or as CSV to drop into a spreadsheet. Citations travel with the export.

Why three sources instead of one

No single source gives you the full picture. Each one covers a different part of the truth, which is why the report is built from all of them and not from whichever page happens to rank first.

  • Google

Breadth. Vendor pages, documentation, pricing pages, and the most widely read reviews.

  • Bing

What Google misses. A different index that regularly surfaces smaller reviews and niche comparisons.

  • Reddit

What people say after they bought it. Complaints about support, billing surprises, and honest long term opinions.

What is in a report

  • A ranked shortlist of products that fit your question, not a generic top ten.
  • Product cards with pricing, pros, cons, who it is best for, and a one line verdict.
  • Citations on every claim, so you can open the source and check it yourself.
  • Flagged contradictions where sources disagree, so you know what to verify before you buy.
  • Export options for PDF and CSV, available on every plan.

Free and Pro

The Free plan includes 5 research queries a month using Google and Bing, citations on every claim, 7 days of history, and PDF and CSV export. Pro includes 30 queries a month, adds Reddit community research, and keeps your history forever. Full details are on the pricing page.

What it will not do

AI-Powered Buy is a fast, honest starting point, not a replacement for your own judgement. It works from public information, so it cannot see private pricing quotes or your company's internal requirements. Prices and features change, so confirm the details that matter on the vendor's site. For tools that will hold sensitive data, still run a trial and your own security review before you sign.

Some product links in reports are affiliate links. They are matched only after the ranking is written, so they never change what gets recommended. Read more about how we make money.
